Strawberry Festival

Ponchatoula

The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival is a very wholesome, community centered festival that every Tulane students should attend at least once. It kinda reminded me of the neighborhood festivals that the parent committee used to put on in elementary school. Super nostalgic. It was about an hour drive from campus, but the drive had beautiful scenery and did not feel long. The actual festival was adorable. The festival features live music by local musicians, fresh strawberries and strawberry products, and tons of carnival rides. Back in the day, Ponchatoula was referred to as the “strawberry capitol” of the world because of its abundance of strawberry farms!
