Saba
Magazine Street
Saba serves my favorite modern Israeli cuisine in the city. To start, the pita is SO BEYOND FRESH. They serve it right out of a coal fire oven (and if you know me you know my deep appreciation for coal fire ovens) onto the plate piping hot with a slight char. Each one of their dips has strong, delicious flavors and I love that they have a wide hummus selection. On the topic of hummus, one dish that you cannot leave the restaurant without is the Blue Crab Hummus. I actually dream about the lemon butter sauce perfectly coated over the fresh blue crab allowing the hummus to burst with flavor. It is also very light, so I would definitely order more than just this dip. The overall ambiance of Saba is modern, but welcoming and they have a lot of seating options for small and larger groups.
